Outside the Office

Beyond my professional life, I'm a mom of two grown children and married to the nicest person in the world. I'm also a proud animal lover with two cats and a bird, and I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by fur or feathers. One of my favorite travel experiences was a VIP tour of the San Diego Zoo, where I got to meet a polar bear!

A lot of my free time is spent volunteering with Happy Feet Pet Rescue. I spent more than two years as Volunteer Coordinator, helping recruit, train, and support volunteers so more animals could find their forever homes. Even though I've stepped back from that official role, I still spend most weekends at the rescue... and then have to apologize to my own pets when I come home covered in dog fur. If you're an animal lover too and live near Lansing, I hope you'll check it out. Go ahead and adopt all the animals. I'll never tell.
